Welcome to Diabetic Foot Management Center Dr. Susan Holibaugh and Dr. Megan DeMara

Thank you for choosing us to be your foot and ankle care specialists!

Our mission is to provide to our patients, new or established, the highest quality medical and surgical care. We are passionate about the total well-being of our patients and will work closely with primary care and other specialty physicians as needed. We offer effective and efficient care while offering the convenience of in-office x-ray, wound care, and diabetic shoe services. It is important to us to keep our patients moving and to maintain the lifestyle that is important to them.

The foot and ankle are complex anatomical structures, shock absorbents, and propulsion engines that are instrumental to overall health and well-being. They require expert care. The DPM after our names insures that your feet and ankles are being seen by the most qualified healthcare providers for that particular body part. A Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree means that the physician has completed years of rigorous foot and ankle training, having been through 4 years of undergraduate work, 4 years of podiatric medical school, and a 3-year hospital-based surgical residency training program.

About your providers:
Dr. Susan was born in Rochester, Michigan, home of “Leader Dog of the Blind”. She attended Grand Valley State University and Des Moines University, College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, 1989. She is currently a member in good standing with the American Podiatric Medical Association and Michigan Podiatric Medical Association, and American Professional Wound Care Association. On a personal note, she has been in practice for 30+ years and has been married for 38 years. While she has no children, she is a lover of dogs, to which end she has multiple English Springer Spaniels. Of her many hobbies, photography is truly her favorite and photos of her favorite subjects appear throughout the office and treatment rooms.

Dr. Megan was born in Erie, Pennsylvania. She is the youngest of 3 daughters in a very close-knit family. While Lake Erie provided her the scenery for her youth, she plans on making Lake Michigan her permanent home. Dr. Megan attended Penn State University and Kent State College of Podiatric Medicine. She graduated in 2013 and moved to Detroit for a surgical residency training program. On a personal note, she has been married for 3 years and lives with her husband Max and 3 large dogs, Cooper, Izadora aka “Dizzy Izzy”, and Ruby. Dr. Megan spends a lot of her time hiking and jogging with her family. Many describe her as an old soul, as her hobbies include gardening and canning, cooking and baking, and quilting.
